Tetra Pak - Processing, Packaging and Aseptic Technology

Together with our customers, we make food safe and available, everywhere.

Protects what's good

That's not only our motto - it's an aspiration that's reflected in every aspect of our business. As the world's leading food processing and packaging solutions company, we are committed to making food safe and available, everywhere. And our commitment extends far beyond protecting the contents in a package. It also includes support for our customers' businesses, a responsibility to reduce our environmental impact, and shape a better future for all our stakeholders - from our employees, to our suppliers and the communities in which we operate.

Company overview

Tetra Pak is the world leader in liquid food processing and packaging. With Tetra Pak products sold in more than 150 markets, there are 43 Tetra Pak market companies and 72 sales offices worldwide.

We are the only international company in the world able to provide integrated processing, packaging, and distribution line and plant solutions for food manufacturing. This means that our customers enjoy the advantage of being able to get multi-product solutions from a single source, with matching equipment at every stage. Also, by developing ambient packaging, which preserves the nutritional value and taste, the distribution of these food products to consumers has been greatly facilitated. Our understanding of today's competitive business environment allows us to offer business solutions at the right cost to suit our customers' growth needs.

Therefore, Tetra Pak packages and processing equipment are used throughout the world for a variety of food products including milk, fruit juice, water, tomato sauces and purees, soups, puddings, ice cream, cheese, and wine. In 2008 more than 150 billion Tetra Pak packages were delivered in every corner of the world – that's 4,756 packages of food or drink each second.

Creating sustainable packaging and processing solutions

As a global leader in sustainable packaging, Tetra Pak is committed to reducing its impact all along the product lifecycle by integrating environmental aspects in product development, using renewable packaging materials and green energy in factories. Recycling programmes worldwide make it increasingly possible for consumers to recycle their carton packages. All this contributes to delivering sustainable packaging and processing solutions to our customers.

Tetra Brik - the best selling brand of carton packages for liquid beverages

Tetra Brik® is the best selling brand of carton packages for liquid beverages, ever. The pure, lean logistics of Tetra Brik packaging, along with great possibilities for creative marketing and branding solutions, make great sense to marketing, production, sales and finance managers all over the world.

In 2004, the Tetra Brik package was exhibited as a humble masterpiece at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The exhibition showed "everyday inspired designs that help make life easier, safer and more fulfilling". A Tetra Brik package is one of those great ideas that baffles you with its simplicity. It's an evolving phenomenon, creating value for the brand on the outside of the package, whilst protecting the product inside. Its design makes it one of the most efficient carriers of beverages. No unnecessary material, weight or space, just a simple and ingenious brick-shaped carton. In a way, it's the closest thing to not having a package at all.
